2013 Ferrari F70 Release date, Price, Interior, Exterior, Engine. - Last week, at the 2012,Paris Auto Show, Ferrari unveiled a unique composite chassis for the upcoming F70 hybrid supercar. Today, a leaked scan from Ferrari Magazine Number 18 revealed a few more details on the future hybrid powertrain. The image shows a big V12 engine and, of course, a lot of power lines that are part of the hybrid KERS system.

This image doesn’t help in identifying the exterior or interior design of the future supercar, but it does give us an idea of the power source. We still are waiting for the official details, but rumors suggest that the next F70 will combine a 900 HP V-12 engine and a 120 HP KERS system for a total output of more than 1000 HP.

The increased power is the courtesy of multi spark mixture ignition and continuously variable-length inlet tracts. The successor of Ferrari Enzo is called F70 but the name isn’t confirmed yet and it remains to be seen what Ferrari calls it. However, it will be the Fifth in the lineup of limited edition yet powerful models following the 1984 288 GTO, 1987 F40, the 1995 F50, and 2002 Enzo.

Price :
Ferrari has used four types of carbon fiber in developing this supercar, including one used in nuclear reactor construction. This will offer the car about 27 percent more torsional rigidity than the Enzo, but will also make it much more expensive at roughly £800,000 or about $1,270,000 at the current exchange rates.

Interior :
These are the best 2013 Ferrari F70 renderings we’ve seen of the Ferrari F70 yet! The F70 will be the halo model replacement for the Ferrari Enzo. These renderings produced by Deviant Art user Wizzoo7 provide another speculative insight as we head towards an official unveiling! Of course, we have no idea how accurate these renderings really are. The pictures show a car that shares a few common elements from other supercars while retaining a lot of Ferrari heritage! Take for example the Huayra esque front air scoop channels, also a key feature of the F50 and Enzo, or the Tuatara style glass house. It’s profile closely follows the Enzo’s design lines and the rear end gets simple 458 Italia, single tail lights, with F12berlinetta style diffuser.

Ferrari decided it is not ready to bring the F70 to the Detroit Auto Show, but we have to admit that all the new details we have learned today make us believe it will be worth the wait anyway. According to British magazine AutoCar, the Enzo successor will feature a sophisticated carbon-fiber construction and will take "the driving experience even closer the fabled idea of a Formula 1 car for the road." The car’s advanced construction has been inspired by the 2,200 pound Millechili technical concept unveiled back in 2007 and has been built around a compact central carbon fiber monocoque that weighs just 150 pounds.

Exterior :
The newly approved exterior design which we’re told was penned completely in house accentuates the car’s mid engine layout. Even though the car wears ill fitting cladding, the design appears as if it will be more flowing compared to that of the angular Enzo. The doors echo those of its predecessor, though, cutting far into the roof. Expect plenty of cooling apertures, evidenced by the yards of mesh that cover the front end. The 458 headlights seen here will be replaced, likely with units of an even more complex design.

The long backlight stretches over a hybridized V-12 that should produce a system output of more than 900 hp. Its hybrid components were previewed at this year’s Beijing show and will be similar to those found on Ferrari’s HY KERS concept. Basically, a generator on the front of the engine helps charge the batteries, which in turn supply power to a second motor that’s attached to the rear of Ferrari’s dual clutch automatic gearbox.

Performance :
The second bit of information is even more impressive, as the email lets us know that the F70 will exceed the 1,000 horsepower mark with its 900 plus horsepower V-12 and a 120 horsepower KERS system. We had been under the impression that the F70 would have at least 20 fewer ponies. The third and final bit of info is the fact that the Ferrari F70 will sit atop the supercar world as the fastest serial numbered street car in the world. That means it will trump the mighty Bugatti Veyron Super Sport’s 258 mph record.
