2013 Nissan Juke Nismo Release date, Price, Interior, Exterior, Engine. - Nissan is reportedly working toward turning its Nismo arm into a legitimate sub brand. According to neocarblog.com, the Japanese automaker plans to pattern its performance wing after Mercedes Benzs AMG, which means that moving forward, every vehicle with a Nismo badge will also pack a sizable jump in performance. Engineers will work to sharpen the suspension and brakes while offering more horsepower and revised aesthetics. In addition, Nissan will seek to burnish Nismos credibility and visibility by putting forth bigger efforts in various motorsports series.

Straight from the Cross Promotion 101 handbook comes this one off project car from Nissan and Warner Bros, celebrating the UK release of Christopher Nolan’s blockbuster movie, "The Dark Knight Rises" on DVD and Blu-Ray. As only Nissan can, the Japanese automaker decided to build a one off Juke Nismo crossover solely to promote the new DVD and Blu Ray. Appropriately enough, the crossover is called The Dark Knight Rises Juke Nismo.

The Nissan Juke Nismo represents two exciting firsts for Nissan. Not only is it the first in Europe in a series of Nismo (NISsan MOtorsport) production models, it also marks the arrival of the first accessible performance variant of the best selling UK built compact crossover.

Having pioneered the compact crossover sector with the launch of the Juke in 2010, Nissan is breaking more new ground with the Nismo version. Previously shown as a concept at the Tokyo and Geneva international Motor Shows, the production version of the Nissan Juke Nismo features the same DNA that runs through Nissans most successful competition cars. From the classic Skyline racers of the late 1980s to Super GT in Japanese racing and the all conquering GT-R GT1 in the world series, Nismo-built cars have become synonymous with innovative engineering, agility, excitement and race winning dynamics.

Interior & Exterior :
The crossover features plenty of Batman inspired details, something that you should expect from a car promoting The Caped Crusader. Matte black paint was used to give the Juke Nismo a Batmobile like appearance. A shark fin antenna was also installed in lieu of the traditional set up on the Juke, and aluminum bat badges have been plastered in various parts of the Juke Nismo, including the front grille and the tailgate. Rounding out the exterior modifications is a set of 18 inch gloss black alloy wheels with red detailing.

The Juke Nismo will be the first of several new Nismo offerings, designed to grow Nissan’s performance brand beyond just factory tuned Nissan 370Z models and parts. We promise to keep an open mind about the Juke Nismo, but we can’t wait to see what else Nissan’s in house tuning arm has in store for future products.

As for the Juke Nismo, it stands out from the rest of the Juke herd by its unique aero package, which borrows inspiration from the insanely fast Nissan Juke-R. The 19 inch wheels and widened track should let other drivers know that yours is no standard grocery getting compact crossover.

Performance :
Based on the new Nissan Juke Nismo, which goes on sale in the UK in January 2013, The Dark Knight Rises Juke Nismo features the same 200PS (197 horsepower) 1.6 liter turbocharged engine driving the front wheels via a six speed manual gearbox, giving it a 0 to 62mph (0 to 100 km/h) time of 7.8 seconds. It also gets a Nismo body kit and upgraded suspension.

As a premium performance model, Nissan Juke Nismo comes with a wealth of standard equipment that is either not available in competitors or offered as extra cost options. The acclaimed Nissan Connect touch screen satellite navigation system complete with rear view camera and Bluetooth connectivity is standard, while the Nismo also benefits from the Nissan Dynamic Control System (NDCS). This central command and display module allows the driver to alter dynamic drive settings as well as make changes to functions such as climate control. The display, meanwhile, shows engine and drive related dials and information.

Powering the Nissan Juke Nismo is a tuned version of the 1.6 litre, direct injection turbocharged petrol engine fitted to the current DiG T model. Sharing the same philosophy as the 1.6 litre turbocharged engine fitted to Nissans radical DeltaWing Le Mans race car, it develops 200PS at 6,000rpm and 250Nm between 2,400 - 4,800rpm.
